Proposals and Goals
The MBA in Diplomacy and Strategy aims at training current and future senior executive managers (C-level executives) in skills and competences to face the magnitude and dimensions of the challenges present in the design, management and negotiation of complex projects, of which basic characteristic is the enormous number of variables allocated in multiple and simultaneous routes of equally valid competitive decisions, without knowing which of these routes would lead to the best solution.
Throughout the program, the students will acquire the sophisticated analytical skills necessary to create a portfolio of strategies with plausible answers for corporate opportunities and vulnerabilities, which cross national borders in both directions. They will also learn to explore the economical, commercial, coercive and political diplomacies to make them result in planning, goals, functions and actions pertaining to large size ventures involving high investments and long temporal reach, under high degrees of uncertainties and tension.
These skills will enable the students to:
1. Qualify his/her own competences: Recognize and conscientiously exercise the necessary cognitive, behavioral and professional competences for Complex Project Management, design strategies and lead critical negotiations with imperfect information.
2. Business Prospecting and Modeling: Consider and diagnose patterns which are still being formed and have the potential to lead to new ideas and concepts about interdependent businesses.
3. Creation and management of strategy portfolios: Design and manage joint projects to produce the effects intended by the company, and which justify them with the identification of critical chains for the development of efficacy metrics.
4. Strategic Negotiation: Plan and lead integrative and derivative negotiation dynamics in the context of economic, commercial, coercive and political diplomacy.
